About this image

Soft shade cloth billows overhead as experienced stockworkers carefully manage a compact herd of dark-coated cattle within steel livestock yards. The dusty holding pen, bordered by robust metal panels, creates a structured environment typical of Queensland's agricultural landscape. Two women, dressed in practical work attire - one in blue, another in a pink long-sleeved shirt and wide-brimmed sun protection - stand strategically positioned to guide and monitor the cattle's movement. Eucalyptus trees frame the background, casting dappled light across the yard and emphasizing the rural setting's natural beauty. The cattle stand close together, their deep black coats gleaming in the bright Australian sunlight, suggesting they are being prepared for transport or sale. This scene captures the quiet expertise of agricultural workers, highlighting the precision and care involved in livestock management in the Queensland.
